I am back. With opinions!

Had exam today. I hope I passed but I do not wish to talk about it. Not that it went badly or anything, I just. You know. Don't even mention it. I'm on my summer holiday now and it's all fun all the time no work none of the time. So let's talk about...

Television?

I think the best idea is if I explain to you how I feel about a bunch of season finales with the aid of cute yahoo smilies. YES?

I did this last year too so it looks like this might now be a tradition. Awesome (I can hear you thinking).

FYI, there will be mood spoilers for all shows listed in the tags, and plot spoilers for Bones, Community and Damages.

30 Rock: (Except for Matt Damon who ♥.)

Bones: (I think it's a good idea to shake things up by having them all take a year off, but I'm still somewhat bored by the Booth/Brennan melodrama, which is, despite the best efforts of the show's stars, nothing if not stagnant. I presume the year away from each other is supposed to bring a fresh perspective to the relationship but honestly the will they/won't they bullshit has just gone on far too long. Get them together. You've established that they're "in love", finding new ways to keep them apart only feels contrived now. Angela and Hodgins rule and I'm pleased they are married so won't be able to break up stupidly again. I'm also pleased Sweets has broken up with Daisy because she is more annoying than likable and I want to see him romancing someone new next season.

Community: Mostly Although I hated the way the episode humiliated and demeaned Britta. I suppose the storyline worked on a satirical level but I found it more painful than funny because not only do I no longer see the incredible appeal of Jeff, I really fucking hate the trope in film of "punishing" the pretty girl by having the hero publicly reject her in favour of the not as conventionally pretty but still gorgeous heroine. It's the aspect of revenge against beautiful women just for being beautiful that really grates my cheese so that entire plotline pissed me off, and unfortunately it meant the (what would otherwise have been awesome) Jeff/Annie ending left a bitter taste in my mouth. Fortunately Troy makes up for Jeff being overrated. I could not love Troy more.

Cougar Town: Love the song over the very wonderful, happy-making montage at the end: Leave your boyfriends behind, by Leona Naess.

Damages: WTF. Terrible. Way to end the series on a low note. Goddamn. I hate it when I hate a series finale because it taints my love of the entire show. Like, I now hate all of The L Word, because the series finale was *that bad*. I spetn YEARS loving that show. And now it is all dead to me. in its entirety. Okay Damages is not in that ball park but I'm still pissed at it and I will be for a long time. Patty is a psycho bitch because she ~*~murdered~*~ her unborn child? REALLY DAMAGES? Your critique is aimed at LATE TERM ABORTIONS? O.M.G. FUUUUUUUCK YOOOOOOOOU. Wow just writing that made me angry. Damages is officially dead to me forever.

Greek: IF CAPPIE AND CASEY DON'T END UP TOGETHER I WILL HOLD MY BREATH UNTIL I DIE.

How I Met Your Mother: All I care about now is who the mother is. I want them to introduce her early next season and have her become part of the main cast. Of course, she will have to be absolutely perfectly cast or else. I'd also like Robin and Barney to get back together but in this case I will not be holding my breath until I die.

Modern Family:

Parks and Recreation:

Smallville: HOW SO PERFECT, SMALLVILLE? I FEEL VINDICATED. WE PUT UP WITH A LOT, US SMALLVILLE FANS, BUT THE PAYOFFS ARE EPIC. I LITERALLY CANNOT DISCUSS THIS FINALE IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN CAPSLOCK.

The Vampire Diaries: Ian Somerhalder owns my loins the end.

Breaking Bad, United States of Tara and Nurse Jackie still have a couple of episodes to go, but I'm really into all three. Haven't seen any of Lost and I've only seen half of House - will be catching up on them over the summer. I'm also planning on watching The Sopranos from the beginning (I saw the first three seasons years ago but can't remember them very well), Justified (saw the pilot and thought it was okay but I'm prepared to soldier on because I love Timothy Olyphant), Treme, and I welcome suggestions because my life is not complete if I don't have something new to watch (although be prepared for me to tell you I've tried and didn't like it because that happens a lot). Is Sons of Anarchy worth checking out? Because I'm about to watch it, so let's hope so.
